My musical story is a long and varied tale. Rather than bore you with details, suffice it to say I have had the good fortune of crossing paths with many talented and gracious musicians over the years, and it has led me to where I am now.
About ten years ago I was inspired to try my hand at performing a solo act. If you had asked me in my teens and twenties would I ever do a solo act, I probably would have laughed. It turned out to be the best thing for me. It developed my acoustic style, improved my singing, and gave me asetting for my original music. My musical direction took a dramatic turn in April of 2006 during my first visit to Nashville. I was deeply inspired by the people and the music and during several more trips to Nashville my direction became clear... I was going to write and record a Country album.
I found a musical genre in which I am completely comfortable writing about any topic, no matter how light-hearted or profound. My goal has been realized with the release of my first Country album "Hope I Don't Let You Down", the title track, which pretty much sums up what I do. It also conveys a sentiment which rings true, in that when you come to see me perform, I truly hope you enjoy yourself. See you out at the shows.- Eric Solomon
